Mizuno Irons Receive Top Honors From Today's Golfer Magazine
Following up their Gold Medal performances in Golf Digest's 2009 Hot List, Today's Golfer, the United Kingdom's most popular golf magazine, has now awarded the MX-200 and MX-100 irons from Mizuno the highest honors in their 2009 Iron Test.
The MX-100 irons with Y-Tune Technology earned the prestigious GOLD award in the "Super Game Improver" category, while the Grain Flow Forged MX-200 irons took home a GOLD award, and was also named "BEST ON TEST" for the "Game Improver" category.
Here are some comments from Today's Golfer on the Mizuno MX-200 irons:
"You might think that iron champions Mizuno only make great clubs for better players. You'd be wrong -- and this stellar performer demonstrates why."
"This could almost pass for a better player's iron- it's that good looking."
"It has a new 'Y Tuned pad' which, without getting too tied up in the technology, helps to reinforce the face of the iron and provides increased strength, power and great feel."
"The triple-cut sole of the MX-200s, helps to reduce drag through the turf, which in turn leads to cleaner, crisper iron shots. In a game-improving iron, that's something to behold."
"If you want forgiveness with a touch of class, look this way."
And some comments from Today's Golfer on Mizuno MX-100:
"In terms of forgiveness these were as good as anything on the test with previously discussed Y Tune cavity pushing weight up into the toe area which means even your shockers aren't too shocking. John, who has a low flight, loved the high-launch qualities -- which gave him more distance. These, and the MX-200s, prove Mizuno don't just do 'players' irons -- they can do awesome forgiveness too."
